Like on every project, GURU’s voice flows flawlessly on Primo’s dark beats, cementing their place into rap best duos of all-time. With cutting edge beats, often based on obscure jazz samples, perfectly representing the underground NYC sound of that era, and lyrics as raw as ever, it was pretty clear by then that Gang Starr would not sell out trying to make a profit. GURU & DJ Premier picked up where they left off on “ Step In The Arena” with this third full-length album titled “Daily Operation”.
